Wonderfulantique 19th century American hooked rug on jute, c 1890. Oval shape, floral design - lush roses in the center, with radiating lines in black over a ground of striations. Very well made. This rug is striking and lovely!
It measures approx 28 x 48 inches across. Photos taken in bright afternoon light.
Professionally cleaned. Well-loved in its time. I note fraying at the edges, some color run from the center, loose loops.A bit worn, but extremely eye-catching and beautiful!
