A 19th century Doulton Burslem double sided porcelain figure
modelled by C J Noke, she in cream robes and holding a book and rose,
he in deep red/orange standing with his right arm behind his back,
the whole figure with hand painted decoration enriched with gilt
almost 32cm high
Doulton Burslem England stamp to base
Great condition, no chips or cracks.
The only repair is to the small sword pommelon his waistband,
it has been stuck and overpainted including some of the waistband.
Other than this small area of repair the figure is in great condition.
No other damage or restoration.
Very rare to find in as good order as this early example
with all of the original colour and gilt decoration still in good order.
