Charles John Noke(1858- 27 May 1941), was an English pottery designer and artist who primarily worked for Royal Doulton...He is noted for producing many different ranges of pottery using differing techniques and was also hugely influential in helping Doulton establish itself as a world leader. After he joined Doulton in 1889 he became the Art Director and was able to affect all aspects of production at the Burslem site and in doing so instigated a revolution in both design and production turning Doulton into the leading art manufacturer of the age...Noke is credited with some of Doultons most famous creations: Flambe Ware, Kings Ware, Series Ware and Character Jugs..Hewas Art Director at Doulton from 1914 until he retired from the position in 1936, aged 78. Noke continued to work at Doulton until his death in May 27, 1941.

For your consideration I am offering this handsome, hand painted and handmade fox figurine wearing a red hunting jacket from England manufactured by the Royal Doulton Porcelain Factory and is titled Reynard the Fox - Model HN100...Designed by Charles John Noke...

The high gloss figurine features a fox with glaring eyes wearing a candy apple red hunting/riding jacket and white cravat/bow tie with gold buttons - stands approximately 6.25 inches tall from tip of ear to base..

A handsome expressive figurine piece to enjoy as part of your collection..

Stamped at base green stamp representing timeline for manufacturing 1937 along with black Hn 100 ..

Light signs of previous use should be expected consistent with age, Overall condition is excellent,free ofchips, cracks or restorations - I can feel some roughness on the tip of one ear (right) but cannot see anything, even under a magnifying glass, might be manufactured imperfection along with some surface marks - for its antique timeline, still showcase quality..Any imperfections would be craft related..
