This is an antique Royal Doulton whisky flask which stands 7 1/2 inches high, measures 7 inches wide and it comes complete with its original Dewar\'s stopper. This whisky flask was made by Royal Doulton in 1907 for Dewar\'s Whisky and it has been finished in the rich Kingsware glaze. It has an flattened circular shape with elongated handle and on the base you can see the earlier Royal Doulton trademark in black. The Kingsware glaze was developed by Charles Noke and the rich effects were achieved by painting the design on the inside of the plaster mould before the dark brown slip which formed the body was added. I will point out that on the base there is a small area of white showing which has obviously been missed during this process - nothing that detracts in any way and it will not show when the whisky flask is displayed. The front of this whisky flask depicts the slightly raised head and shoulders of \"Falstaff\" who has a long beard and is wearing a green tunic with brown hat. Sir John Falstaff appears in Shakespeare\'s \"Henry IV\" and \"The Merry Wives of Windsor\" - a fat, jovial, witty, good humoured old knight. On the back you can see the words \"Dewar\'s Whisky\" in sightly raised letters. The condition is good - there are no cracks, nicks, damage or repairs to be found and there are no scratches to the Kingsware glaze. Please excuse any photo flashes or reflections. This antique Royal Doulton Kingsware whisky flask, made for Dewar\'s Whisky and depicting Shakespeare\'s \"Falstaff\", would make an ideal gift or a great addition to any collection.
