An attractive Pair of Royal Doulton Lambeth Arts & Crafts Vases with the monogram of Jane Hurst on the bases. The vases have an unusual wide frieze of stylised oranges & leaves running around the top of the vases.Jane Hurst was a senior assistant in the 1880s at Doulton Lambeth, retired during first quarter of the 20th century. Designed some of her own her own pieces in Art Deco / Arts & Crafts style.This vase was made after 1901, the year when the impressed Royal Doulton mark on its base was introduced, and of course before she retired, probably around 1914.Size & Condition: The vases are 6\" - 15 .25cm tall and about the same measurement in diameter.
One of the pair is in excellent condition, no chips, cracks, or crazing.
The second vase has a shallow chip on the rim and a small chip to the rim of the base. (see photos) For sale in an sale with starting at £4.99
