All information from A Charlton Standard Catalogue Royal Doulton Jugs 9th Edition. According to it, the market price at the time the catalogue was issued was $85US.
It has the back stamp as shown. The “A” beside the back stamp indicates that the jug was made between 1939 and 1955.
The jug is in gently used condition with no chips, cracks, or discernable crazing. As is standard with china and porcelain pieces, there may be pieces of ash or debris caught under the glaze.
