Rosebury was also a teacher/professor at the following universities: Massachusetts College of Art & Design, Endicott College, Salem State University & Northern Essex Community CollegeMuch of Ruth\'s visual ambiguity comes from mixing flat planes with modeled form, complicating rational visual thought patterns. Her use of color is likewise visually irrational; receding as well as advancing planes have virtually the same intensity, value and chroma. The influence of hardedge painters, such as Albers, Nolan, and Stella are fused with the soft image of Oldenberg to create visual effects often associated with Op Art. Her imagery should be considered abstract; hence, the aesthetic is distorted if one associates specific subject matter such as plumbing or spaghetti.
