An excellent compilation, a collectablewhich brings the history of Raleigh Industries together with classic photos, old adverts and snippets for iconic bicycles.

The last of the Raleigh bicycle factories in Nottingham closed down in 2002. This publication was put together by National Archives, as a remembrance of Raleigh Industries, which was the pride of the City in terms of local employment, British manufacture, industry, salesmanship and bicycle innovation. A4 in size, and a lovely souvenir.

Over 40 pages of Raleigh cycles history dating back from 1880 and showcased by very rare adverts and press releases. It also provides you with a glimpse of what it must have been like to work within the 5000 employee strong team, Pre and post war, an insight into a global brand with actual dealership photos taken in India, Indonesia, Tanzania.

Adverts are vast but include the Raleighette, Superbe, Tandems, Safety Model, Chopper, Vektar, BMX, RSW 16 and more. Small features on Frank Bowden, Sturmey Archer, the exploits of Harry Green, Eileen Sheridan and Raleigh Motorcycles.

Condition wise:As new, no smudges, folds or discoloration.
