Very Rare Mid to Late 17th Century Wall Hanging Wall Clock.
Dial Only excluding the Chapter ring.Known as a Telleruhr Zappler from Germany (most likely Augsburg), this very, very beautiful dial once accommodated a single train, Single Handed movement with a cow tail verge escapement and probably a passing strike.
Complete ones of these sell in the major sale houses for in excess of £5,500.
As you can see, the dial is without doubt is the most difficult part to create, so you are already 90% there in terms of difficulty in creating a complete clock.
