Up for sale is an original antiquephoto-gravures souvenir book of New Orleans from the 1890’s, published by A.Wittemann, The Albertype Co., N.Y. This is an extremely rare book; it is a firstedition soft cover book with ribbon binding, containing 16 pages of indeliblephotographs of New Orleans and is almost impossible to find. These wonderfulphotographs consist of some of New Orleans most beloved architectural treasuresand events. This collection of wonderful antique photographs provides a glimpseback into the glory and beauty of “Old” New Orleans – almost a historicaldocument of things that once were in this wonderful city. This rare book is invery good to excellent condition for its age, only showing minor wear, lightfoxing / staining, corner wear, & the ribbon binding has come loose – seephotos. The size is approximately 7 x 5¼ inches.
