Thank you and Happy Holiday Season to All rare early American Indian tomahawk, maker marked and dated either 1754 or 1756 among other decorative engraved work on the hand forged steel head which exhibits heavy black patina throughout. Possibly original or slightly lather wooden shaft with hand written historical paper attached which looks to have been with the axe for a very very long time. Solid overall and in great shape for being such an early example.
Overall 17\" on the wooden shaftHead is 5 1/8\" across with a 3 3/4\" striking edge.
