ITEM DESCRIPTION

Item Description

Up for your consideration is a very rare 18th C. figure of a German soldier, c. 1780. The piece stands 15\" tall, and appears to be completely original. According to the previous owner, it was found during an archeological digin the early 20th C.

The piece is in good condition, but has broken off its base (as shown) The only missing piece I could find a button on the side, and some loss to the hair on the helmet. Also, there are several chips in the wood underneath the rim of the helmet. It was mountedon a piece of wood with monster glue, it should be easy to remove with a sharp knife, but I am unsure what damage will be done to the soles of the shoes.

Please examine this pictures carefully, this is something that I am not familiar with, so the pictures will likely provide a better explanation than I can.
