CONDITION:

Very rare, 1909 editions ofFreemasonry books (two volume set)in overall good condition.Both books are bound in blue cloth binding with gold designs and gold lettering on spine. Covers have gold emblems and boundfirmly.There issome cracking of the exterior boards, especially on Volume I.


This set is nearly 120 years old and there are signs of age:


Pages in both volumes are clean - no writing, stains or tears.There is minor and scattered foxing (browning)frequently seen in 19th century books and some 20th century books which is caused by paper acidification.Hinges are tight, no loose pages or separating of the pages to the spine and the binding is surprisingly strong. There is a tear on the interior front blank page with signs of moisture exposure on volume II. Many pages have light signs of liquid exposure in the lower corner of vol II but does not have structural damage to the pages or binding, and the lower right of vol I.
