Unusual to find an early loving cup from the early series ware. We believe this is from the 1911 series ware entitled Monks and Mottos. Features two monks with their fishing poles walking through the village being hailed by companion monks. The motto on the back states: Tomorrow will be Friday, Every brother his rod he took, Every rod had a line and a hook, Every hook had a bait so fine, And thus they sang in the Evenshine, Tomorrow will be Friday. The loving cup three intearior stress or hairline cracks - two showing through to the front, there are no other chips, cracks - does have crazing. Stands 5\" tall x 5 1/8\" diameter at the top x 5 1/2\" diameter at the base - not including the handles. Approximately 6 1/2\" diameter with the handles. Marked with the numbers 342 and 7611.
