A rare early poetry book by [Henry] Bedford Jones (1887-1949), prolific Canadian-born writer of history, adventure, fantasy, science fiction, Westerns, and more. Jones wrote more than 100 books and was dubbed \"King of the Pulps\" for his numerous appearances in Blue Book and other leading pulp magazines of the 20th century.

Clothbound hardcover, 7.25 by 5 inches. Contains 40 poems on various subjects. Not paginated but about 60 pages. Charming tipped in frontispiece photo of his baby daughter, Helen Wallace Bedford-Jones (to whom the book is dedicated.) Green cloth with paper cover label. Good condition with moderate wear at the corners and extremities, and some unobtrusive stains to the binding. A handful of early pages have small edge chips and tears from being roughly opened. Printed on good quality paper, and the text is clean and unmarked otherwise. Evidently not issued with a paper dust jacket, but we have added a clear archival DJ.

A good solid copy overall of a book that is rare by virtue of the small print run. H. Bedford Jones\' literary output was huge, but this is one of his hardest titles to find and it is seldom seen offered for sale.
