Rare 1920’s Original Roycroft Desk Set Arts and Craft Mission Hammered Copper:

Original vintage item. This set has three items: anink well, a small box, and desk blotter corners. Surfaces are hand hammeredcopper with a silvery wash. The silvery wash has been worn off on mostsurfaces. Some surfaces are totallycopper-colored and some surfaces have are partially silver-colored with coppershowing through. All items show appropriate wear due to use and age. Refer to photographs for surface conditions.

The small box is 3 13/16” x 2 3/8” 1”. It has a hinged cover and two compartmentsinside. It has the Roycroft mark on thebottom. On the inside of the top, thereis an etched signature which may say “Barle”.The top of the box has the same decorative engraving as the otherpieces.

The four desk blotter corners have a decorativeengraving which is pictured. One of thecorners has the Roycroft mark.

The inkwell has three parts: the glass inkwell, the metal top, and themetal inkwell holder. The metal inkwellholder has the same decorative engraving that the desk blotter corners and the small box have. The inkwell has no chips or damage except foron the raised glass ledge where the top fits. There is a place that is barelyvisible but is rough (not sharp) to the touch. It could be a chip but it alsocould have been ground to fit the top. Noparts of the inkwell have Roycroft marks.
