Condition: ExcellentKrewe of Venus was the first all female Mardi Gras krewe to parade. It was formed in 1941 and met with somewhat hostile welcome during their first years of parades including being pelted with tomatoes and rotten eggs. Despite the hostility they soldiered on and changed New Orleans Mardi Gras history forever. The krewe last parade was in 1992.
