AVIREX, now Cockpit, is known as one of the best, premier manufacturers of superb quality, high end, authentic military style reproduction leather flying jackets. For those who appreciate distinctive style and quality, these jackets can\'t be matched.This AVG Flying Tigers jacket is a highly desirable design and extremely hard to find in this superb, new looking condition. There are no tears or damage or wear marks of any kind.
The jacket is 100% leather, with a lining of 50% acetate and 50% nylon. The leather has been distressed during the manufacturing process for that authentic, vintage look. The jacket is heavyweight leather, has epaulets, two large cargo pockets with snap flap closure and two side pockets. There are also two inside pockets. The large lining graphics are embroidered- the American Volunteer Group, Chinese Air Force. The smaller graphics are printed. The blood Chit Flag design on the back is a painted or printed leather patch. The round Flying Tiger design on the sleeve is also either painted or printed. The Hell\'s Angel logo on the front of the jacket is embroidered.
The inside graphics date the jacket to 1989, and it was made in the Republic of Korea. There is no size listed. The measurements, taken flat, are as follows:
Chest, zipped- armpit to armpit 23 inches
Shoulder width 22 inches
Waist, knit bottom, stretched when zipped 18 inches
Sleeve length- armpit to end of knit cuff 21 inches
Sleeve length- shoulder to end of knit cuff 25 inches
Collar top to bottom of front knit bottom 29 inches
