Rare 19th Century Minton MINTONS Royal Specimen Plate - Made for PRINCE ALBERT.

With his cypher and crown to the centre and that of Queen Victoria to the top.

There is an applied note to the reverse indicating that it was presented to Prince Albert at the time of the Great Exhibition in 1851. I have looked online and Queen Victoria did acquire a lorge Minton bleu celeste service at the 1851 Exhibition so perhaps there is a link to that.

No chips or cracks. Fine crazing.
