Size of the buttons is approx 0.5\"Very rare set of late 19th century hand-painted buttons all depicting what I assumeare individual Indian princesses.
The detail in the faces and the clothing, together with the vibrant colours is really excellent, and each of these buttons
is really a miniature portrait. I expect they are made of silver, although they are no markings. The glass looks
thick and clear and is possibly crystal...Each of them have been stitched onto a piece of black velvet and that is why it is hard to photograph them without
getting a certain amount of reflection and having one or two slightly out of line.They are in really good condition, the only thing I can see is that several has some dust or dirt in them, but I expect
if you know how to open these it can be quite simply removed.I am not a button expert or collector,and I have had some decent ones over the years, but I think from the point of
interest and rarity then these have got to be the best I\'ve ever had.These will be very securely packaged.Cost to the UK will be £8.50 special next day delivery
