Discovered in an old chest full of beautiful Antique and Vintage Textiles at a recent Brocante in the heart of the Normandy region of Rural Northern France. This gorgeous piece measuring 72.00 x between 15-19.00 inches depth dimension depending where measured - is in Expected Timeworn but good Antique condition and can be further Cleaned (if so wished) and used as is for Period Decor or reworked into something other than a Valance.It is very Dusty in Places and the backing Fabric is distressed but it doesnt detract from the Fabulous Textile
A Classic French Ribbon Bow Chic Shabby design with Exquisite Embroidery resembling miniscule dots in a Floral formation style featuring stunning Once Rich Olive Green now a Delicious Faded Gold Green period colour background,difficult to accurately describe the true colour but the photographs are a very good Representation-the original Colour can still be seen along the top,this really is so very nice, plenty enough area to utilise with the Imagination. Lovely Chic Shabby fabric to adorn any Window setting,could be used as a Bedhead etc with thick Woven Woollen Passementerie Trim fringing-some of which is a little distressed in places
