These are really great tins.I never thought much about cocoa being in a tin and I just assumed that it still was. I looked in my cupboard and my cocoa is no longer inside of a tin. It\'s like a thick cardboard! Who knew? Here\'s what I have:
- I have a Hershey Milk Chocolate round tin with a girl child feeding a boy child a yummy kiss. It measures about 5\" diameter and 2\" tall. It\'s in very nice condition. The bottom shows 1982 Made in England
- There are 2 Cocoa tins and both are No. 52. These have lots of really good recipes on the tins; cocoa, cake, frosting, and fudge. One has the cover and one does not.They measure about 5\" tall, 3.5\" wide and2\" deep. They are in poor condition with scratches, dents and dirt. Cleaned up they would look much much better. These were made in Hershey PA.
- While this last tin is like the other 2 that hold 8 ounces, this appears smaller. The brown is darker on this tin than the others. This has a special offer on the front for \"the dessert collector\" and it\'s only $2.98. This measures about 3. 5 wide. It\'s about 4\" tall and its about 3\" deep at the widest point. I bet that cleaned up it would look terrific.
LOOKS like all could use a big cleaning as for now they are DIRTY. I don\'t clean these vintage items anymore because when I was brand new at this I ruined a very expensive piece trying to spiff it up. So...the dirt and dust is FREE. No charge at all.A neighbor of mine of almost 5 years had an incredible decorative tin collection. I believe she had money at one time because they were eclectic and very desirable. She knew that I loved them and would love to have them sometime. She displayed them in that space lots of kitchens have between the top of the cupboards and the ceiling of the room. She had hundreds of them. When she was getting ready to move to a smaller apartment, she came to me and asked if I wanted to buy them. Purchasing them for much more than I generally spend, I bought the entire lot about a year ago. I\'ve had mine displayed in the same spot. Not a great idea as they did accumulate some of the grease from the kitchen even though I don\'t fry things. Well, I find that I\'ve been downsizing and selling off my collectibles. I\'ll be listing these in the very near future and like I said, there are lots. So keep me saved if you like rare tins.Condition is so often in the eyes of the beholder, I can believe that something is in terrible condition and you can think it\'s average. Please see all pictures as they are part of the description and let you make a more informed decision of the condition by your standards and not mine. This is a vintage piece and therefore very old. I will do my best to keep it in the excellent used condition it is in currently. However, I cannot say the same for my shippers. Please let me know if you would like to insure this item.
