Rare Antique Carey of New York Fountain Pen Gold & Abalone Shell Ink USA Vintage:

For sale is a superb fountain pen made by Carey of New York. From the little I could find out he made pens from about 1908 until 1929 and they are very nice and hard to find. The pen looks to be a black hard rubber (vulcanite) barrel with gold color cut out overlay that has some nice floral designs to it. The pen has what seems to be an abalone shell center with a gold colored fancy ring at either end. The nib reads Carey, New York, 14kt, and 2. It is in good used condition. I know little about pens so ask me any questions or send me comments if you have any. The pen is 5.125 inches long and 0.5 inches in diameter.
