Rare Antique Touchwood LUCKY FUMS UP Silver Charm Pendant Fob Danish WWI Movable

This is a terrific antique lucky Fums-up charm or pendent of Danish origin, and the first one like it I\'ve seen from Denmark. For those unfamiliar with the charm, they were worn by soldiers for good luck during WWI. The head is made of wood, and was meant to be rubbed for good luck. The arms are movable, and can rotate a full 360°. Note how the thumbs appear to be upturned, which is how the charms came to be named \"Fums-Up\" (thumbs-up). To the top of the head is a circular stamp which may be a symbol for protection (circle of protection). There is another stamp to the back which appears to be fork-shaped. I\'m not sure what this means. The eyes are set with gold-colored beads. The charm is in good condition for its age with minimal wear. There is no damage that I can see. The measurement is 3/8\" wide by 1 3/16\" tall. The reverse is stamped \"830\" for Continental silver, and Pat. No. 512. A magnificent find for the collector of WWI memorabilia!

Free shipping for all domestic buy-it-now purchases! Your vintage / antique charm (s) will be shipped within 24 hours (with the exception of weekends and holidays) of your processed payment. For items totaling $50 or more, insurance will be added free of charge for domestic purchases.

For sales ending on Saturday or Sunday, your charm (s) will be shipped the following Monday. For International purchases up to $50, the shipping charge will be $8.

For international purchases totaling $51 to $150, the shipping charge will be $22. This charge includes insurance and registration which will require a signature upon receipt. For international purchases totaling more than $150, the shipping charge will be $46.50 This Express Mail service will also require a signature upon receipt.

Please allow approximately four to six business days for delivery of domestic items. Arkansas residents must pay 6.5%, plus applicable local county tax. International buyers, please bear in mind that you\'ll be responsible for your country\'s duty/vat fee. Please research the fee before making a purchase. This fee is non-refundable.
