Offering for sale a Rare Antique De La Ru \"Casket Ink\" Traveling Inkwell what I believe to be Circa 1900 - 1920.It looks like it is nickel plated, with a spring loaded thumb release on the case that would hold a glass inkwell.The glass bottle is missing, otherwise the travel case is in sound condition. All the hinges work and there are no serious dings or dents. The case needs a good cleaning but I decided to leave it as is since it has great patina.This is a compact form of inkwell that would have been carried in a pocket or travel bag.Thomas De La Ru is famous for his contributions of the Onoto Pen, which is considered the first practical fountain pen.Please send inquiries as needed and thank you for your offers.
