A fabulous and highly desirable Victorian Jam or Preserve jar in the form of a pumpkin.Made from a hefty crystal shaped into the bottom half of a Pumpkin and the hinged lid in silver plate to create the the top of the Pumpkin. There is a cut-out in the lid to accept a preserve spoon. The lid opens to reveal an English Design Registration number which lets us date it accurately, this number used in the year 1891.
