Antique Silver Plated Brass Menorah Oil Lamp with Lions German 1890-1920:

Amazing piece of judaical history. Silver plated brass (=Copper+Zinc). This was confirmed
using an Olympus XRF Analyzer. Two lions surround the 10 commandments on the back plate. The back plate is topped off with a beautiful ornate crown. Two guardian lions surround the 8 oil holders also shaped as lions. There is a chain and pillar attached to the two guardian lions. The lion\'s head on each oil holder is attached via a hinge which allows you to lift the head and pour the oil. There is a wick holder protruding from the mouth of each of the 8 lions. The lions sit on a stepped base which has carved floral patterns and sits on 4 legs. At the top of the back panel sits a removable bird which serves as the Shamash and oil pitcher. There are no markings on this piece other than numbers on the various parts. For example, the number \"23\" can be seen on the base in the 6th photo.
