Rare Antique Souvenir Spoon 1897 GAR Buffalo 31st National Encampment Sterling:

This is a commemorative souvenir spoon from the 31st National Encampment and Parade of the Grand Army of the Republic (GAR) which took place in 1897 in Buffalo NY.I believe this particular spoon is rare as I have not found any images that match it. It\'s a teaspoon size measuring ~ 6 inches.It has a head of a bearded figure on the handle that I can\'t identify 100% but it looks like U.S. Grant. Above his head is \"GAR\" in script letters.The face of the spoon has a picture of the Monument of Lafayette Square and the following inscription:\"1897 31st NATIONAL ENCAMPMENT BUFFALO\"The back is signed by the silver maker \"GEO. E. HOMER BOSTON\"It\'s is VG+ condition with little signs of wear. I have not cleaned it. Please, refer to pictures.
