Following my79th birthday in August, 2017, I am now offering quite a number of items frommy postal collectables, vintage photographs, etc. so someone else who appreciates them can take advantage of my decision to reduce my collections. Item offered is from a popular high quality series of stereoviews. In the days before TV, in fact before most American homes had radios, these views were a popular form of education and entertainment.

Shows slight normal signs of use,but is in unusually good condition for a photo more than a century old.Look closely at my picture,but my photodoes not fully show the excellent quality of this view.

Dominica is the largest of the Leeward Islands in the \"British West Indies.\" The lime plantations on Dominica were established by Quakers sometime around 1850. Limes were famed for eliminating scurvy for sailing crews. A narrative on the back of this stereoview describes the industry on Dominica.

Rare view, once more than a century ago widely available, but now very hard to find, especially in this very good condition.
