On offer is this stunning & rather rare Victorian faux tortoishell brooch.

Exquisitely detailed as only the Victorians could!

In a large, circular domed shape, with inner & outer borders of yellow gold; within this is an elborate display, almost like peacock feathers, beautifully decorated in gold and silver.Interestingly, this brooch has a double row gold outer frame to back..whilst unusual to find, it does serve as testimony to the fact that the Victorians never compromised on detail, even to the back of a piece!A fabulous example for collectors!Tube hinge, pin and \'c\' catch, in good working order.Measurements: 1 3/8 \" in diameter.
