Rare Antique Victorian Edwardian Hammock with Lace & Fringe:

A very Rare antique Victorian, Edwardian Hammock. The hammock is made from a heavy cotton/linen blend with a slight waffle design and is trimmed with floral lace, fringe and tassels. The ends are heavy cotton cording. This is BIG & Heavy with overall dimensions of 12 feet end to end x 67\" wide with the lace and fringe, it weighs around 8 pounds. The canvas itself measures 78\" head to toe (so to speak) x 37\" wide. The Hammock is in very good overall condition. The canvas portion is sewn in 3 sections so it looks like it would cradle you comfortably, it has some discoloration from being stored away for many years. The fabric does not feel dry. I would suggest if you plan on using the hammock that you have some some extra support sewn to the underside of the fabric, it is such a lovely & rare antique piece it would be a shame to take a chance of ripping it. The Hammock would be perfect on a Victorian Porch. It is from a lovely Victorian Mansion in Pennsylvania.
