This gorgeous and rare antique tiny medal is from former Czechoslovakia and dates backto the late 1800’s.It isprobably made of brass or tombac (a brass alloy with copper and zinc content)and has a central enamel panel.This medal is very, very small,since it measures only 1 x 1 cm (approx. 0.39 x 0.39 inches) without loopor bale! It’s very detailed despite the tiny size!It depicts s Saint with Jesus as a Child within a delicate flower-shaped frame.CONDITION: Please note that the medal isantique and shows signs of age and wear, like chips/scratches to the porcelain, as well as tarnishand verdigris to the metaland a thick dark patina that has entirely covered the original gold-tone layer (see pictures below).We have not cleaned this piece: it is sold as is and with its original patina,since this is the way that most collectors prefer to receive their items.Please study carefully all the full-size pictures below, as picturesare an integral part of this description.
