A Beautiful Antique Chinese Silk Wall Hanging with Gilt stitching and masterful embroidery
Circa 1920
The wall hanging depicts an Immortal conversing with a peasant.
At some point it has been stitched onto a red crepe backing and 4 tassels have been added to each corner
Width of the Piece is approx 27 inches.
Length of the piece is approx 32 inches.
The silk hanging has minor faults because it is antique.The silk has torn in the lower right corner as you look at the silk hanging.There are some loose threads but overall the silk hanging is in very good condition. It has been well stabilised on a red crepe backing.Please study the pictures carefully. Antique silk is fragile so some age related defects are to be expected
