Attolini is considered the creator of what is known as Neapolitan style suits. Italian suit makers today regard Vincenzo Attolini as the originator of the soft-shouldered, high-armhole, suit that remains the standard of Neapolitan tailored clothing.

The company, with only 130 tailors on staff, produces less than 12,000 suits per year, with a minimum of 30 manual labor hours invested into the creation of each piece. Every piece of every suit is 100% handmade, as each tailor is tasked to perform only one step of the suit-making process.Attolini suits are some of the rarest and most difficult suits to find.

Cesare Atollini has only showrooms in Naples, Milano and New York on Madison Avenue. Cesare Attolini suits are considered one of the finest and most expensive in the world. Vincenzo Attolini\'s son Cesare, took over the line in the 1960s and transformed Attolini into a modern day enterprise. Cesare profited from the fame his father gained around the world to build an exclusive men\'s tailoring company.

This suit has more hand work than most of the Kiton suits I have seen, all the edges, even the straight seams are folded and top stitched by hand: the darts, back seam, sleeves, etc, this adds many hours of extra label to the finishing of the garment!

It\'s not a simple \"off the rack\" garment, it was made just like a custom made garment, with up to 30 hours of hand work, only on the lapel there is close to 2000 stitches, handmade button holes, etc. The signature lining is cupro bemberg.

The armholes are cut higher than most custom suits, and the jacket, cut just barely long enough to completely cover the derrière. The lapels also come up high to balance the forward pitch of the shoulder, resulting in a very pleasing framing of the neck and head. The shoulders are flared, chest full and the waist nipped. The pockets are posited slightly higher than normal.

The upper sleeve, is shaped like the bell of a trumpet. Three-button strappato (the rolling of the lapel to the second button while also placing the uppermost button so that it is hidden by the lapel curve) The breast pocket, called a barchetta, or \"little boat,\" for its curvature, mimics the line of the chest.
