If Mickey is out front the weather will be fair, but if Donald comes out with his fowl (that\'s a pun!) weather gear you can bet it will be foul. Not a bad deal in 1948 for just $1.49 plus C.O.D. postage.
This thoroughly loved vintage piece was licensed to and produced by The Weatherman Company of Chicago, Illinois in 1948. Sold through display ads in comic books and general interest magazines, these primitive hygrometers were hand painted. It originally had a cardboard back, now missing,printed on two sides.Looking through the front openings you could see inside theMickey MouseWeather Bureau office with wall map and observation equipment. The back outside gave instructions for use and basic adjustments.
