A scarce Doulton Lambeth Crown Ware vase by Florence Lewis with beautiful floral decoration - the flowers are Pansies. This technique which involves succesive firings and blends the painting with the glaze is rare and due to the high production costs these pieces were only made from about 1893-1903. To the base of the vase is the printed Doulton Crown Lambeth Ware mark and the artist mark for Florence E. Lewis and assistants. A superb and stylish piece by this important artist.
