ITEM DESCRIPTION

Item Description

Up for your consideration is a unique Early-American sewing box/pin cushion, c. 1820 - 1840. The piece is dove-tailed, with a bird\'s eye maple veneer. It measures 7.5\" tall, and 5\" wide. The box is in excellent condition, free of cracks, chips, or damage to the wood. The pin cushion is supported by 6 hat pins,4 which have black tops, and two with wood tops (which are the originals). There is some slight bending to these pins.
