Rare Early 18thC Small German Silver Pear Shape Teapot c.1720s Hamburg:

Charming and pretty early 18th Century German pear shaped small silver teapot with carved wood scroll handle and octagonal curved spout. A pull off domes lid with wood ring to the finial and Eastern style engraved decoration around the lid, pot base and rim. Fully marked to the base alongside an engraved dedication dated 1729. A very lovely and rare piece. It measures 12cm high, 9cm wide and 15cm spout to handle. It weighs 165g/5.3ozt. Condition is excellent. There is a split to the ring of the finial so it spins around and I think there may have been a small additional knop to the top of the finial. Otherwise, no damage or dents. The engraving is not rubbed and the piece is nice and clean; very little surface wear for age.
