Thedesign is most pleasing on the eye, it has an intricateshellborder and sits on threehoofed feet.

Thediameter isa fraction over6.25 inches andits height1 inch-it is thusquite smallin size. This stunning objectis dated London,1753-year letter s. MakerisDorothy Mills-a lady silversmith who made good, usually small pieces. Her mark is found on page 51 of Jackson\'s pocket edition.

Itisengravedwith acrown crestandalways has been, definitely no erasures either. This engraving has worn a little over time.

Theweight isa hefty184 grams(5.92 troy ounces) and the condition isvery good indeed on this splendidround salver.It doeshave a couple of small dings near the border, these are mentioned for accuracy and easily rectified by a good silversmith.

All in all a very fine piece of silver.
