This Tiki Bob mug was produced by Paramount to promote their new movie Blue Hawaii by Hal Wallis and staring Elvis Presley for the Theater Operators of America convention of 1961 in New Orleans, Louisiana.Information about Tiki mugs in general and the Elvis Tiki Bob mug can be found on Ooga-Mooga. The Tiki Bob design was done by Alec Yuill-Thornton. Most the variations on this design seem to have been made by Otagiri Mercantile Company. Like many hand made collectibles, no two mugs are absolutely identical.
Please refer to the pictures which are of the actual mug that will be shipped, this mug is in amazing condition! There is a tiny chip in the brown at the base of the front of the mug (see picture #2).The mug will be extremely well packed in bubble wrap to assure that it arrives in one piece!
