*Lighting in a Modern Kite ~ Lighting in a Modern Kite * One of Mr. Julian\'s favorite modern designs. The Kite lamp is often misattributed to George Nelson Associates, but is most likely from the \"Wireworks\" series, designed by Gregory Van Pelt, distributed by Raymor, and sold in high end furniture stores.This is the great tall unit, with it\'s original very rare deep orange cotton fabric wrap(rare color)& plastic interior shade liner diffuser . The deep orange is a very modern period color ~ great earth-tone. Most of these pieces have the neutral tan cotton fabric, or have been replaced. Bent metal body not unlike an Eames LTR.

In good vintageconditionnickelplated metal is intact some oxidation here and there (good vintage). Shade fabric very clean & intact, all original interior plastic liner has some cracks in the corners & seams which is common with this design not visible when lit.As with all vintageelectricalshould be checked by a certifiedelectricianprior to use.
