Fantastic case in great condition, please see my otherlistingfor a superb wood and brass churchwarden pipe case.
This is a superEnglishSilver case which detached in the centre to allow for multi-length clay pipes.
The front of the bowl fully opens to alow for easy access to the pipe. The lid is fitted with a revolving wind cap to allow the heat to escape after smoking the pipe and replacing into the case.
There is a small section behind the bowl which would have held a small pipe reamer (probably a thin piece of steel, to clean / unblock the shaft of the pipe of Tobacco after smoking)
In goodconditionwith some slightpittingto the end of the case (stem end). does not detract but mentioned for accuracy. Please see pictures.
There are no hallmarks but this does test as solid silver and is sold a such. Weighs 38g.
Pipe measures approx 13cm long.
Starting price of 99p and - This will be sold....
