Rare Handmade c 1940\'s Agnes Brush Stuffed Kanga & Baby Roo Dolls Pre-Disney:

In the late 1940\'s and 1950\'s, before Disney got the rights to Winnie the Pooh and friends, a woman named Agnes Brush and a small circle of seamstresses hand made these wonderful stuffed likenesses of the Winnie the Pooh characters in their own homes. They are rare and very difficult to find in good condition.These dolls are Kanga and Baby Roo from that collection. They do not have their original string tag, but are otherwise in excellent condition. Kanga does have one small area on her neck where the material appears to be slightlystretched at the seam. Kanga is 12 inches tall and Baby Roo is 6 inches tall. Their soft stuffed bodies are made of cotton flannel.
