Hi, Sellingthis stunning and very rare huge german sterling silver Knight with a sword, shield and flail (spiky ball) and a bone face. He is absolutely breathtaking, the attention to detail on his armour and weapons is of museum quality. His attached stand has a jewelled affect (probably coloured glass) going all the way around and has the look of grass underfoot, a true touch of quality. He is unmarked but fully tests as sterling silver and is of identical quality of my other knight which is hallmarked and most probably done by the same maker. The knights came across from a US estate, 5 in total and there were all black and some of the others had English import marks dating to c1900 and i date this knight the same. He is know in amazing sparkling condition with no damages what so ever and looks so much better than when he is black. He was proffesionally cleaned by an amazing silversmith in Glasgow, Who also made the missing flail ball and re-attached the left horn on helmet. You cannot see the mend and this looks as good as the day it was made.He is truley monumental and measures 16.25\" in height and 5.2\" in width across the base and weighs a heavy 1434g.This is an absolutemust for anycollection anddisplays really really well.
