You\'re offerding on \"Indian Trail (Rocky Mts)\", a large antique lithographic framed print - the scene is a beautiful sweeping mountain landscape - the original work appears to have been watercolor and pencil - in the foreground a path winds along the side of a lake or river and a lone native american man on horseback rides away from the viewer and into the scenery. Blues and greys dominate, with muted reds and greens adding a little color suggestive perhaps of an impending autumn. There is a signature at bottom left that appears to me to be \"J. Meran\", but I have not been able to find any info on this artist, and below that, publishing info that is more or less illegible. Print is in its original frame under antique glass - based on the whole presentation and style I\'m guessing this item to date between 1900 at the earliest to perhaps the 1920s at the latest.
I had to unframe to clean the glass on both sides - the print is in overall good condition - possibly a little bit discolored due to age but still nice coloration and appearance. Print is 28\" X 14\", total size in frame is 31 1/2\" X 17 1/2\". The frame has nice style, wood painted a dull bronze with carved and marbleized painted accents - but it is a little beat up with some chipping of the paint significantly along the left side, and to a smaller extent in spots all over the piece. I\'m listing it as is because I believe it to be all original, but I would consider shipping the print unframed to the winning buyer if they\'re more interested in the print than the piece and want to save money I can provide an unframed shipping quote upon request.
