Rare Large 19 Inches High Maitland-Smith Ltd. Brass Swan Hand Made in Thailand:

This is a large brass swan with a \"Designed and Hand Made in Thailand by Maitland-Smith Ltd.\" sticker on the bottom. The swan is in good condition overall. It measures 19 1/4 inches high 13 inches wide from the bottom of the neck to the tail feather tips in the rear and about 6 inches across the swan\'s back side to side. The upper side of the swan looks good but does have some small areas of tarnish or dark black spots. It has very detailed feathers. The bottom side underneath the swan is heavily tarnished and has a dark rough patina. It was probably exposed to some moisture at one time. It appears there are also a few spots of residual white/green colored brass polish.The swan has a few small felt circles on the bottom for protecting furniture but could use a few more to assure full protection. This brass swan is hollow and you can hear things rattling/moving around inside of it when you move it. It sounds like small stones, sand and/or pieces of brass. The items inside were evidently a result the hand made manufacturing process in Thailand. The swan appears to be fully sealed with no holes that I can find. The swan is heavy and weighs almost 8 pounds. It is definitely a rare and unusual piece.
