A matched pair ofchair-side or sofa end tables with lamps and planters by George Nelson for Herman Miller, circa early 1950\'s. Marked with labels.The tabletop is wrapped in leather of a complimentary color to the walnut of the cabinet. The piece stands on fourwalnut legs, tapered and splayed. The lamp rises from a bent aluminum stem, which rotates endlesslyfor proper positioning. Situated beneath the lamp are two square planters. Planters are copper and can turned up or down to either hold a plant or serve as a base for an object. Extremely cool and very very rare to find a matched pair. All original condition including the shades. Shades have worn edges and a warm honeyed patina that only comes from age and honest wear. Minor nicks and dings but nothing that detracts from the overall beauty of these tables. Please view all pictures. Lamps are in excellent working order.
