Fantastic and Very Rare Mid to Late 16th Century Wrought Iron Nuremberg Casket

With

Beautiful Detailed Handle, 2 Sliding Bolts or Latches and Etched Grotesque Faces and Foliage etc.

Raised on Ball Feet.

Probably German Nuremberg.

Circa 1550 to 1580

This is nice example of handmade 500 year old workmanship from a time when Queen Elizabeth was on the throne and Shakespeare was busy writing his plays.

The key is not original, but then they rarely are with these boxes.
