A very fine and rare patterned George III solid silver teaspoon. The spoon is known as \'OLD ENGLAND\' pattern, and probably dates from 1830 and the Coronation of William IV. The pattern contains various symbolic plants from the British Isles. The spoon has a lion rampant crest, and dates from 1833.
Hallmarks: The spoon is English sterling silver hallmarked for London 1833 (Date Letter \'S\', George Tax Mark, Lion Passant, Leopard Head). The maker\'s mark \'JH\' refers to the silversmith Jonathan Hayne.
Dimensions: It is 14.5cm long and weighs 35.3g.
Condition:The spoon is in good condition, with just one tiny ding in the bowl, and no splits or repairs. Good tip of bowl, and good clear hallmarks.
