Item Description:

This necklace has handmade silver beads with Hubbell Trade beads. The necklace measures 21 inches long. The Hubbell beads are just 1/4\" in diameter. The round silver beads are also just over 1/4\" and the long beads are 1/2\" long. The necklace looks to be strung on the original old cotton string. This is a very sweet delicate necklace. This necklace is in very old and all original condition. These necklaces rarely come up for sale, they are very sought after by collectors. weighs 30 grams .. The last known bead made for Native American trade was the Hubbell trade bead made in the early 1900s. The beads were made for Lorenzo Hubbell owner of the Hubbell Trading Post. The Hubbell bead came in a variety of sizes, shapes, and shades to imitate Turquoise. Lorenzo Hubbell, brought them to this country from Czechoslovakia to trade to the Native Americans at his Hubbell Trading Post in Ganado, Arizona.
